Designer Jonathan Ive Will Officially Leave Apple
Jonathan Ive officially left Apple. The man, who is familiarly called Jony Ive, is a key figure who gave birth to Apple’s iconic device design, from the iPhone, iPad to Apple Watch.
Apple has announced that Ive will leave in June, but did not say the exact time.
Collaborations; Ive and Jobs produced a variety of gadgets that were elegant. From the colorful iMac, iPod, iPad and of course the biggest source of money for Apple, to the iPhone.
When Jobs died in 2011, worries could surface about Apple’s future. However, the presence of Ive, who was once called Jobs’ spiritual partner, helped Apple stay strong.
After 30 poor years at Apple, Ive left on a mission to grow his own design company, which he named LoveFrom. Apple will certainly be one of its clients.
Jony is a single figure in the design world and his role in Apple’s rise is inevitable, from the 1998 iMac breakthrough to the iPhone and Apple Park’s unprecedented ambitions, where he has recently put so much energy and attention,” said Tim Cook, Apple’s CEO.
“Apple will be benefited from Jony’s talent in the future by working directly with him on exclusive projects, and through continuing work from the brilliant and passionate design team, he has built.
“After years of working closely together, I am pleased that our relationship continues to grow and I look forward to working with Jony far into the future,” Cook said.
